FAQs

What’s up with those Shipping Costs?

The past few years have unfortunately raised shipping costs for everyone, however we have noticed that, usually, there’s a higher initial cost for shipping, and adding on to your order doesn’t add much to the shipping cost. As such, we recommend placing orders for multiple items at a time if you prefer to reduce shipping cost per item ordered.

How long until my order ships?

Once you have received your order confirmation email, packages usually process within 1-2 calendar days and ship within 3-4 business days. Sometimes sooner, hopefully not later, but for now we are a very small team so please keep that in mind. You should also receive follow up emails with tracking information once the parcel has been processed and shipped.

Do your products contain MSG?

No MSG is added to any of our products, however there may be small amounts of naturally occurring MSG in some of our ingredients such as Dried Soy Sauce.

My seasonings caked, clumped, settled or separated, is that normal?

We do not add any artificial preservatives, anti caking agents, homogenizing agents, or desiccants. This, coupled with the somewhat high humidity of our region, means that some settling/separation and caking/clumping is perfectly natural and to be expected. Always give your seasoning a good shake before use, and if clumping occurs, just give it a good, yet gentle, whack (or a few) against your palm or the counter to break them up.

Do you add any preservatives and how long are my seasonings good for?

No artificial preservatives are ever added, as several of our ingredients are natural preservatives (such as salt). For the best quality and freshest taste, we recommend using your seasonings within 6 months of receipt.

Are your products GLUTEN FREE?

We never add gluten to our seasoning blends, however some ingredients we use do contain trace amounts of gluten such as Dried Soy Sauce.

Do you have any SALT FREE seasonings?

Yes! At the moment we have TWO salt free offerings: Lemon & Herb, and Taco.

How and Where is everything made?

We do our batch production and packaging at The Kitchen Terminal, a Professional and Commercial Commissary Kitchen located in San Luis Obispo which is USDA and FDA certified. All of our production is done by hand, in small batches to ensure accuracy and consistency as well as maximizing freshness and minimizing exposure to the elements. (Yep, that means each bottle is filled by hand too!)

How often do you have new items? How can I find out?

Having fun with flavor and being creative with combinations is a huge part of what we do! We are always working on something new, and have many exciting blends and other products in mind for the future. We do not have a set schedule for releasing new products, and will release them as they become ready for market (it’s a tough job tasting all the delicious things that have to be made to perfect a seasoning recipe, but hey, someone’s got to do it!).
